Minerva Learning Trust is an expanding Sheffield based multi-academy Trust with a vision of providing outstanding education for all the students within our schools. The Trust is passionate that all students should see their time at school as happy and fulfilling with their potential developed to the utmost. High Storrs School joined the Trust in April 2018.

High Storrs is a high-performing 11-18 secondary school on the South Western outskirts of Sheffield that has benefited from a £27m refurbishment of our Grade II listed building. Serving a multi-cultural learning community with high expectations and high aspirations, we are an over-subscribed school.

Teacher Training

Each year we have a healthy cohort of trainees from numerous providers including Sheffield SCITT (Notre Dame), Sheffield Hallam University and Sheffield Teaching School Alliance (Silverdale).

We have dedicated mentors who provide one-to-one support and guidance throughout the year which enables our trainees to gain the highest quality of training. Each mentor is given specialised training from their respective provider to help assist and coach the trainee through their placement at school. On-going support is provided throughout the year by Charlotte Ferrier (ITT Coordinator), a weekly specialised training programme and external link tutors.
