School days, snow days...
As I write this blog the snow is falling … again. I had hoped Spring might be here. It seems I am wrong. Fortunately, today is a Saturday and I do not have to worry about a ‘snow day’! But I do want to write about snow days; firstly, to thank the High Storrs community for all their support with the recent school closures and secondly, to explain a little about how we arrive at the decisions to close the school, have a late start, open the school etc etc. Read more
New Academic Year
Everyone at High Storrs is still giddy about the success of our students in August. The percentage of students achieving grade 5 + in the new Maths and English GCSEs was the highest in the city. Indeed, the fantastic Y11s also surpassed expectations achieving numbers of top grades (new grade 9s) well above the national average. The number of Y11s at High Storrs achieving the Ebacc (a good pass in Maths, English, Science, a language and a humanity) was also the highest in the city!
