Excellence in students' Attitude to Learning

C Tasker, Headteacher

Our new ‘Attitude2Leaning' grades were launched at the start of this school year and, at the highest levels for each key stage, describe the learning behaviours that will lead to success in school and beyond. Students who are always ready for learning, use feedback to improve, work well with others, are organised and meet deadlines, are positive, engaged and resilient and take pride in their work are always going to achieve their best. They are also a real asset to our school.

This term we have launched our plans to recognise the very best A2L across the curriculum and those students that make a concerted effort to improve their A2L grades across the curriculum. The top students in each year group receive a letter home, a certificate and 10 commendation points. The most improved students in each year group for overall A2L grades across the curriculum receive a letter home, a certificate and 10 commendation points.

Following the KS4 trackers 97 envelopes went out in the post to the families of students in these categories and I hope those families were just as proud of those young people as we were.

KS3 trackers are currently being finalised and more envelopes will be in the post soon!
