Applications are welcome up to and including 31 January 2026.
Students who apply on time and meet the entry requirements for their chosen A Level courses will be eligible for a place to study at High Storrs Sixth Form from September 2026.
We will always consider late applications (made after 31 January), however cannot guarantee an offer will be made.

Information for Applicants for September 2026
This section provides you with important information from the Application stage right up to Enrolment into High Storrs Sixth Form in September 2026. Please read this carefully so that you understand how our transition process works, including what we expect you to complete and return to school and the key dates and deadlines by which information must be returned.
Applications
Please submit your Application on Sheffield Progress by 31 January 2026.
Offers
Offers for High Storrs Sixth Form will be sent out via Sheffield Progress by Friday 27 February 2026. Students will only be eligible for an offer by this date if their application has been submitted on Sheffield Progress by 31 January 2026. The deadline for students to accept their offer on Sheffield Progress is Friday 13 March 2026.
Registration Form
Students will be sent an email by 13 May 2026 asking them to complete an online Registration Form for High Storrs Sixth Form. Please ensure you complete this by Thursday 21 May 2026. If this form isn’t completed you may risk losing your place.
Sixth Form Applicant Day 2026
All students holding an offer for High Storrs Sixth Form will be invited to our Applicant Day, which takes place on Monday 29 June 2026. Our Applicant Day is very busy with a welcome assembly, subject taster lessons, time with your new form tutor, meeting the Head Team, tours and much more. We hope that this day helps you to feel informed and excited about joining High Storrs Sixth Form.
Feedback from our Applicant Day is always very positive. By undertaking this transition before the summer, it means that you will have a strong, focused start in September. Starting your A Levels is also much easier because you have already met your teachers, form tutor and classmates.
Detailed information regarding Applicant day will be posted to students by Monday 15 June 2026, so please look out for this.
Bridging Work
This will be available on the website from Monday 6 July 2026. Please ensure you complete the Bridging Work for your chosen A Levels ahead of starting in September.
Enrolment
Students holding an offer will enrol for High Storrs Sixth Form on Thursday 20 August 2026 (unless alternative arrangements have been agreed). We will write to students ahead of GCSE Results Day with further details about enrolment times. All students will need to complete the Enrolment Form and bring it to enrolment along with their GCSE results. If we are expecting you on Thursday 20 August and we don’t hear from you, you risk losing your place at High Storrs Sixth Form.

Entry Requirements
To be offered a place at High Storrs Sixth Form, you need to meet our entry requirements:
A minimum of five GCSEs at Grade 9 – 4. This must include:
• Mathematics Grade 4 AND
• English Language Grade 5 OR
• English Literature Grade 5 AND English Language Grade 4
Please note that all courses are subject to change, depending on the number of students who apply and the availability of teaching staff.

Our dedicated Admissions Coordinator, Miss Everitt, will keep in contact with you about your application, offering guidance on A Level choices if you need this. We always seek to support our students’ choices, so if you wish to change an A Level option, Miss Everitt will always endeavour to accommodate this change.
Once you have completed your GCSEs, the Head of Year and Student Support Assistant will be in touch to support your transition to High Storrs Sixth Form.
