National Careers Week 2026

National Careers Week (NCW) is running from the 2nd to the 7th of March 2026. NCW is a celebration of career guidance, which provides an excellent opportunity to support students in their progression within education and beyond.

High Storrs School embeds careers within the curriculum throughout the year and our whole school careers curriculum can be found here.

To celebrate NCW our students will participate in various activities throughout March which include: Science, Maths and Dance Subject Specific Career Weeks for all years, Y7 and Y8 NCW assemblies, Y9 GET UP TO SPEED WITH STEM event at Magna, Y10 Work Experience launch lessons, Y11 Post 16 offers and career guidance support, Y12 Work Experience Week and Y13 Be Inspired Apprenticeships Career Fair.

We also have our Whole School Careers Fair with more that 35 exhibitors in April, which will spark students’ aspirations and provide an excellent opportunity for employers and education organisations to showcase their careers to the next generation of professionals.

The Aspire Guide: A booklet filled with resources and knowledge to help post-16 students understand university, further education and career options.
Careers Key Terms: A helpful information booklet with explanations of key words that are used in various job markets.
Top Tips for Stress booklet and top tips for dealing with stress video: Guides on how best to deal with stress and help your wellbeing.
National Careers Week TV -videos about tools to achieve your aspirations.
NCW Inspirational Quotes : A series of inspirational quotes from young people in work, offering advice on things you can do to aid yourself in a career.
Subject career posters to help you link subjects to careers and inspire your future.
