High Storrian Newsletter

The High Storrian newsletter is an annual newsletter sent aimed at keeping our Alumni aware of what's going on in their fellow High Storrian's lives, and equally the news and events happening at High Storrs.

We’re always looking for stories to include in future newsletters. Have you got fun and interesting tales of your time at High Storrs? Or have you had a really interesting life since leaving school which you want to share with fellow Alumni? Anything of interest will be considered, so please send us an email

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mavis Bradley, Chair of the High Storrian Committee.

Mavis attended High Storrs as a pupil during the war years, when the two schools were strictly segregated. She retained warm and strong memories of the staff and fellow pupils and told hilarious stories of her time at school. Mavis was a tireless organiser of the annual Reunion, and to one alumni’s knowledge never missed a meeting of the Committee until its inevitable demise a few years ago.

You're able to find more information of Mavis' life and acheivments here

This week was our Y12 Alumni Talks: an inspirational key note speech and smaller group sessions with alumni talking about their specific career areas. The alumni enjoyed a day back at school, school dinners, tour of the school and a chance to inspire our students. @highstorrs pic.twitter.com/m0oCXVMBKl
Have you booked your tickets for the Homecoming?
For the purposes of getting the catering and welcome drink sorted, it would really help to know how many are coming. We’d hate to run out of lovely afternoon tea and fizz! ticketsource.co.uk/high-storrs-sc… facebook.com/events/2712170… pic.twitter.com/swJVUNrcru
