High Storrs hosted the annual Bents Green Community School's Carol Concert on Thursday 13th December at Ecclesall Parish Church. The Church was buzzing with talent from the earliest rehearsals with the Primary school' in the morning, across the lunchtime massed singing with the secondary students through to the afternoon orchestra rehearsals. Those taking part were Eccelsall, Greystones and Hunters Bar Primary schools with Silverdale and High Storrs Secondary Schools.

The Church was packed to the seams for the evening concert and the students sparkled in both their enthusiasm and talent. The concert each year raises funds for the local charity W.O.R.K and we were delighted that their students took part this year dancing to the track 'This is Me' which certainly brought a tear to my eye if you look at the words.

A fantastic total of £825.70 was raised for the charity and the students taking part enjoyed making music together so a great outcome for all concerned. A big 'thank you' to the head teachers and governors who support the event every year and also to the Church for allowing us to use their building which is such a lovely venue for this advent occasion.
