High Storrs School is a high performing newly rebuilt/refurbished secondary school on the South West edge of Sheffield, close to the Peak District National Park. We are proud of our links with the local authority. High Storrs is a high-performing 11-18 secondary school on the South Western outskirts of Sheffield that has benefitted from a £27m refurbishment of our Grade II listed building. We are seeking to appoint an energetic and expert professional as Business Manager. The person appointed will be responsible for the strategic development of all business, financial, administrative, operational and facilities aspects of the school. This person will play a pivotal role in ensuring that High Storrs School continues to provide an excellent education to its students.

Additionally, the Governing Body are actively considering moving the school towards academy status and the Business Manager will be key in this development.

Teacher Training

Our school is proud to be a member of The Sheffield SCITT partnership – The Sheffield SCITT is one of only three accredited providers of Initial Teacher Training in Sheffield and the only one of its kind. SCITT stands for School Centred Initial Teacher Training and that is what we provide. Our trainees spend 100% of their time in school and are trained by serving outstanding teachers. The SCITT is owned an operated by Notre Dame High School which leads the Hallam Teaching School Alliance. This means SCITT trainees who go on to work in our schools also access an early career framework of support including talent spotting and fast track development towards school leadership. We welcome people for work experience placements prior to applying to the SCITT on The SCITT trains General Primary and Secondary Maths, English, Sciences, History, Geography and RE at a diverse range of good and outstanding schools in the Sheffield area.
