High Storrs School Community

Here at High Storrs School, we are pleased to provide the local community with access to our wonderful facilities for a variety of purposes and functions.

We are very proud of our recently refurbished historic 1930s Art Deco building, as well as our new custom built Sports wing and Creative Arts wing. The school boasts a wide variety of different rooms and spaces, including a large school hall, perfect for performances, conferences, parties and even weddings. Our classrooms, meeting rooms, dance and drama studios, sports halls and outdoor spaces can all be booked for one-off or regular bookings.

The school was refurbished in recent years, so you will find we have high quality, clean, professional facilities, complete with state-of-the-art technology. Whether you require a corporate function, rehearsal space, meeting rooms, sports facilities, evening classes or even a child’s party venue, High Storrs School is your venue of choice. Our friendly and professional staff are more than happy to assist with any enquiries, no matter how unusual, we will always try to accommodate you.

Our school is quite a landmark in the local area of Ecclesall and Bents Green. It stands proudly at the top of the hill on the intersection between High Storrs Road and Ringinglow Road with stunning views out towards the Peak District National Park from the rear of the building.

Parking

The school is easily accessable by car and has it’s own car park. During term time and school hours there is limited visitor parking, but the spaces prove ample in the evenings, weekends and during school holidays. There is also limited street parking in the nearby vicinity.

Buses

There are a number of frequent bus services that connect the school to the rest of the City

  • 4: Hunters Bar – Ecclesall – Millhouses – Bents Green – Ringinglow (Hourly service throughout the day Monday-Sunday)
  • 84: Loxley – Hillsborough – City Centre – Greystones – Bents Green (Every 15-30 minutes Monday-Saturday and hourly on Sunday)
  • 88: Ecclesfield – Firth Park – City Centre – Banner Cross – Bents Green (Every 10-30 minutes Monday-Saturday and half-hourly on Sunday)

Access

The building is fully accessible; with flat entrances and a number of lift facilities between floors.
