The High Storrs site is an exposed one, and very occasionally we get snowed in. If public transport is unable to reach us and because of the distance many pupils have to travel to school, on rare occasions the school remains closed in the interests of pupils’ safety. Announcements are made via Radio Sheffield and Radio Hallam on their early morning bulletins, and an appropriate notice will be placed on the school website.
If the weather deteriorates during the day and passenger transport inform us that the buses will stop coming up to school, we may have to make a quick decision to close early. An announcement will be placed on local radio but please ensure your child knows where they should go to in such an eventuality.
